Since its establishment, the Center for Applied Research in Aviation and Space Technologies (HUZTAM) has been involved in significant scientific work, and it is now preparing to graduate its first student. Nergis CESUR, who will be the center’s first graduate, successfully presented her senior project titled "Remaining Useful Life Prediction of Turbofan Engines Using Deep Learning" under the supervision of her advisor, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Işıl YAZAR.

The presentation took place as part of the first edition of the senior project presentation days, which HUZTAM plans to make a tradition. The event attracted great interest from both center staff and students. CESUR’s project drew attention in both academic and practical circles by offering an AI-based approach to the critical task of estimating the lifespan of aviation engines.

This meaningful presentation not only exemplified HUZTAM’s scientific productivity and student-centered research approach but also marked a historic moment, as Nergis CESUR proudly became the first graduate in the center’s history.
