About us

The Aerospace Technologies Application and Research Center (HUZTAM) Regulation was published in the Official Gazette No. 32251 on July 17, 2023 and the center was established within Eskişehir Osmangazi University.

 

Objectives of the Center

- To contribute to the reduction of Turkey's foreign dependence in the field of aerospace.

- To support the units that will be included in the national technology inventory to meet the needs for further exports and demand increases, especially since increasing R&D activities and pioneering production activities in recent years have necessitated the import of different components.

- To ensure the establishment of a center that will substitute the tests conducted abroad in the field of aviation and space.

- To carry out activities that will involve all stakeholders of R&D and innovation activities, academics, industrialists and students and create added value, and to obtain outputs that are of strategic priority both scientifically and commercially by ensuring the training of qualified human resources.

- To carry out studies in areas that will be supported by organizations such as Bursa Eskişehir Bilecik Development Agency, Small and Medium Enterprises Development and Support Administration and Eskişehir Aviation Cluster due to their contributions to the national economy, national technology inventory, trained qualified manpower and production capability.

- To carry out studies in the field of aviation and space, which creates added value in terms of both developed technologies and theoretical knowledge.

- To contribute to efforts to increase our country's capabilities in the field of aviation and space.

- To ensure that the breakthrough made in the field of aviation and space is strengthened and sustained through planned collaborations.

- To establish an R&D unit developed to carry out laboratory-scale studies with training units with up-to-date technology and to carry out studies on the axis of technologies that will ensure the valid and reliable evaluation of relevant studies.

- To ensure that our country reaches an important export potential and that our human resources are strengthened to serve the country's goals, and to create strategic application areas in the medium and long term, both at the level of innovative products and services and in the training of academic infrastructure and qualified human resources.

 

Center's Fields of Activity

- To prepare national and international projects, conduct research and participate in joint research in the field of aviation and space.

- To conduct research and applications specific to the problems arising in the fields of activity of the Center.

- To carry out studies on current problems arising in the field of aviation and space.

- To conduct research to produce new theories and models in the field of aviation and space.

- To carry out joint research and application activities with units affiliated to the university and other centers.

- To make the necessary plans and arrangements for the relevant departments or courses at the University to benefit from the laboratories and facilities of the Center.

- To support the opening and execution of graduate programs related to the field of aviation and space at the university.

- To provide scientific opinions in cooperation with universities, research centers, public institutions and organizations and private sector organizations and to provide consultancy services within the framework of the provisions of the relevant legislation.

- To organize programs for the development of researchers related to the devices in the center.

- To promote the Center and ensure its institutional and financial sustainability.
